Gratitude Blog – Thanksgiving 2016

This Thanksgiving I have most definitely focused on gratitude.  Gratitude for my family (especially my two daughters who shine their beauty and light inside and out), my friends, my two careers which make me feel lucky for the balance they create, my home, my health and everything in between.  I am also grateful for the sun that shines and makes life more beautiful, the trees when they bloom in the spring and sleep in the winter, the glistening ocean with its beautiful and soothing sounds and the feeling of the sand beneath my feet.  I am grateful for music that makes me so happy (and Bruno Mars’ new album which I cannot stop listening to), and for the sounds of my zen stone fountain in the kitchen when all is quiet.

For me, feeling gratitude elevates my mood and I personally feel the energy directly in my heart chakra when I am grateful.  It is a feeling of pure happiness and contentment.  Morning gratitude is a perfect way to begin the day.  Before you get out of bed, simply think of all of the things you are grateful for and feel your mood lift and a smile begin on your face.  It really works!  The same can work before you go to sleep.  Turn off the TV and put your phone and social media away and focus on gratitude.  Sleep will come much easier and put your body in a happy and relaxed state.  Please let me know how this works for you.

On this sunny, late November day, as I sit in my kitchen with my beautiful daughters, feeling eternally grateful for this Thanksgiving visit and much-needed family time, my heart is happy and my life is full.   What are you thankful for?

Love and light, Wendy
